The 2027 NCARE Conference Theme and Invitation
The North Carolina Association for Research in Education invites proposals for the 2027 NCARE Research Conference, Data to Decisions: Bridging PK-12 and Higher Education. The theme reflects two priorities central to NCARE’s purpose: applying evidence to improve educational practice and strengthening connections across educational systems and communities.
Proposals are welcome from educators, administrators, researchers, evaluators, faculty, staff, graduate students, policymakers, state and local education agencies, community partners, workforce-development partners, and public or private research organizations. NCARE membership is not required to submit a proposal. However, by submitting a proposal to the NCARE 2027 conference you agree, should your proposal(s) be accepted, to attend the conference and be present at your scheduled session(s).
We look forward to your submissions!
Callie Womble Edwards, Ph.D.
President-Elect and Conference Chair
Submit Your Proposal Through Sched
Sched is NCARE’s new conference management platform. It will be used throughout the proposal and conference process—from collecting and reviewing proposals to communicating submission decisions and developing the 2027 conference program. During the conference, attendees will also use Sched to view session descriptions, create personalized schedules, access presenter information, and receive important conference updates.
Submitters will create or sign in to a Sched account to complete their proposals and receive conference-related communications. A separate Sched application form is available for each conference strand. After reviewing the strand descriptions below, select the one strand that most closely reflects your proposal’s primary focus and contribution. Then, use the corresponding strand-specific Sched form to submit your proposal.
Please submit each proposal to only one conference strand. If your proposal relates to multiple strands, select the strand that best represents its central purpose. Do not submit the same proposal to more than one strand. If you plan to submit multiple proposals, complete a separate Sched application for each proposal using the appropriate strand-specific form.
